How it started
My name is Matt Reed, and I am the proud founder of the First Class Children's Foundation. For the past 15 years, I have dedicated myself to organizing community events designed to raise funds and create meaningful opportunities for local kids and families.
In 2017, I founded First Class Children's Foundation with a simple goal: to have the creative freedom to direct our fundraising efforts into programs that make a real and lasting difference right here at home. Since then, we have been proud to build initiatives centered around literacy, kindness, confidence, creativity, and imagination.
Our flagship Imagination Box program has become a cornerstone of that mission. Each box is filled with school supplies, books, and personalized items that make children feel valued and inspired. To date, we have delivered more than 3,000 Imagination Boxes to students throughout the region, including schools such as C.G. Johnson Elementary School, Oklahoma Elementary School, Juniata Elementary School, Wasson Avenue Elementary School, and Clearfield Elementary School.
Our Imagination Station book vending machines, placed in five schools within the DuBois Area School District, have helped distribute more than 15,000 books through our various literacy programs.
We also created the Legendary Box program, which provides Christmas gifts to children being raised by single parents throughout the tri-county area. More than 115 children have received these special boxes, each valued at approximately $250, helping make the holidays brighter for families in need.
Our KICKS by First Class initiative has made a lasting impact as well, donating over 900 pairs of brand-new sneakers from brands like Nike, Converse, and Jordan Brand to deserving students.
The Ripple Effect program has positively shaped the culture at DuBois Area High School by recognizing acts of kindness, personal growth, and leadership among students.
Our major fundraising events, including Cars & Pizza, the Labor Day Weekend Auto Show, and DuBois Shine, help fuel these programs and keep our mission moving forward.
As we look ahead, we remain inspired by the possibilities for what First Class Children's Foundation can continue to accomplish. With the support of our community, we are committed to growing, serving more children, and creating even greater impact in the years to come.
